MY PHILOSOPHY
I am a creative, strategic problem solver.
My work is based on deeply considered principles learned and practiced over a 26 year career in design and technology.
MORE THOUGHT LEADERSHIPLEADERSHIP
I thrive in ambiguity; observing signals, seeking input from trusted advisors, and remaining adaptable as new data emerges. My leadership approach begins with a clear definition of success—whether prioritizing short-term gains or long-term value. I strike a balance between data-driven performance and social psychology, focusing on both my people’s unique strengths and our results.
INNOVATION
I believe that understanding and iterating on what motivates people is the purest source of innovation. Developing Original Human Thought (OHT) is at the core of what sets truly valuable new ideas apart from AI-generated ones — forming the foundation of my innovation method. This is especially true in an era where uniquely human contributions are becoming the exception rather than the norm.
STRATEGIC SOLUTIONS
The best solutions begin with being customer obsessed. I have developed a novel combination of methods that guide my problem-solving choices based on customer-centricity. These can be applied to creative, technical and strategic problems. I share them openly so that anyone can learn and use them.
POWER OF SERIOUS PLAY
Exploring alternatives to spoken or written language can often be the most effective way to navigate complex or ambiguous challenges. I’ve found that incorporating play into my work sparks curiosity, promotes equitable dialogue, and enhances problem-solving. After all, people perform at their best when they’re also having fun.
PORTRAITS
Faces that tell stories.
In an increasingly complex digital world, I find the simple act of drawing with pencil and paper to be a cathartic escape — one that helps me maintain balance between screens and real life. As I bring each portrait to life, I imagine my subject’s thoughts, emotions, and experiences — their hopes, dreams, and struggles. This process becomes a meditative practice in empathy, connecting with their humanity while also uncovering deeper insights about myself and those around me.
